A two-story restaurant, bar and nightclub on Sixth Avenue. The main floor combines table seating with a dance floor. Upstairs is balcony seating, as well as mingling space — and a second bar. This nightclub's sushi bar combines traditional Japanese cuisine with California and Northwest influences. More than 30 specialty rolls, 20 types of sashimi and sushi, as well as octopus, albacore, and seaweed salads are available. Featured fusion rolls combine citrus, spicy seafood, creamy sauces and tempura action for a one of a kind creations. Don't skip the baked sea scallop topped roll. Live blues, jazz and rock mixed with sushi and sake? You bet.

Jazzbones personality depends on when you visit. If there's a great "non-local" band you want to see you'd better get a table reservation. But don't expect good service from your waitress - our advice is to order a pitcher of water and at least two drinks at a time or you'll be high and dry. Some food is actually pretty good - other items, not so much...a friend recently spent around $8 for a ceasar that looked like a bad side salad from a bag. Their hot mustard for BBQ pork really isn't chinese mustard, no where near hot enough to be called that. But the sushi is always good! If you go to a show be aware that they basically "turn" the crowd right after the show by blasting music appealing to the younger set so you can't sit and talk afterwards. But hey, they do bring great acts to Tacoma. We're still going, although I've got a few friends who won't because it's so crowded and the service so lacking...
