By Weekly Volcano staff on August 4, 2012

The Grays Harbor County Fair announced its musical lineup and other entertainment acts this week, and it features several great acts.

Charlie Daniels and the Charlie Daniels Band will take the stage at 8 p.m. Aug. 8. Daniels is probably best known for his hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," which he won a Grammy for and was featured in Urban Cowboy. But he's also well known for being a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2008, as well as for being a heck of a nice guy. There are currently $25 Golden Circle Tickets available for this show, which includes fair admission.

Kids' Day is Aug. 9, which features the Pop Idols in concert at 8 p.m.  The tribute act features impersonators of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Rihanna. The tribute artists look, sound and perform just like the real entertainers, performing today's most popular songs.

Hotel California, A Salute to the Eagles, will perform at 8 p.m. Aug. 10.  Hotel California was founded to fill the void left by the breaking up of The Eagles in 1982. By blending their extraordinary vocal and musical talents, Hotel California faithfully and accurately reproduces the sound of the Eagles' recordings while recreating a classic sound that transcends the boundaries of Rock, R&B, and Country while delivering a modern, action-packed performance.

Sprint car racing highlight the activities on Aug. 11. At 4 p.m., fair goers will get to see sprint car racing at the Grays Harbor Raceway.  Thanks to a partnership between the Grays Harbor Fairgrounds and the Grays Harbor Raceway, the races will be free this year with paid fair admission. Then, as the races wind down at 8 p.m.,The Bayou Boys, a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band, will take the main stage. The band hit the road in the 1980s and haven't looked back since. Lead singer, Canadian Mike McDonald, is often compared to frontman John Fogerty and is backed by strong vocal harmonies. The staging and costumes worn by all band members will take the audience from the 1970s peace revolution to the rock era around the world.
