Free event Saturday: Salute to Military Couples Night Out

By Ranger Staff on April 21, 2022

Military couples definitely endure their share of sacrifice, and that is why Grand Canyon University and the Ranger and NW Airlifter newspapers are teaming up to present a fun evening dedicated to military couples this SATURDAY, April 23 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. hosted by LeMay America's Car Museum.

This is your chance to have a fun night out and set aside the stresses life can bring as best as possible. Join other military couples for an unforgettable evening that includes free admission into LeMay America's Car Museum and so much more.

The LeMay America's Car Museum features a variety of areas that will be on full display Saturday night including: Legends of Motorsports: The NASCAR Story, Route 66 - Dream of the Mother Road, Alfa Romeo: Born from Passion, Reclaimed Rust: The James Hetfield Collection plus many other collections and exhibits. They also have three racing car simulators and a slot car track that couples can participate in.

However, the evening will go beyond the featured museum exhibits with many other entertainment options. So don't count yourself out if cars aren't your thing.

Four haircut stations, two hairstyle stations and a waxing and facial station will be available to get some much needed pampering for you and your spouse. The Asia Pacific Cultural Center will be onsite offering three cultural performances and providing music along with hula lessons to brave couples, as well as origami and calligraphy.

If you're looking to determine what your future holds there will be three psychics available throughout the evening. Rick Anderson Magic will be onsite plus a strolling magician mixing and mingling and whipping up some magic among attendees.

We also encourage all guests to take their best shot at the Newlywed Game, no matter how long you have been together. You just may learn a thing or two about your partner.

Music will add to the atmosphere, along with a photo booth to capture all the fun and silliness of the evening.

Light appetizers and desert will be served by local restaurants Lunchbox Lab, Carr's Restaurant and Manic Meatballs. The Original House of Donuts will provide donuts. Three no-host bars will be available throughout the venue for you to enjoy as you head to visit the psychic or mingle with the strolling magician.

We look forward to a fun evening to celebrate military couples and all their sacrifice to our local community. We hope you will join us this Saturday at LeMay America's Car Museum as we show our appreciation. '
