The annual ritual of spring cleaning provides an opportunity to prep the flower beds, reorganize the garage and cleaning up around the house. With that said, however, the season also lends itself into putting one's money house in order.

This may mean taking the time to look over financial accounts, from credit cards to checking accounts to retirement savings plans. At America's Credit Union (ACU), every staff member shares the goal of fully making this review as thorough and rewarding for all of its military members.

"My connection to the military runs deep as a dedicated Army spouse," began Julie Castro, the branch manager for both the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Main and Spanaway branches. "Whether stationed at overseas bases or serving at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, I have gained invaluable experience and insights into the unique challenges and needs of military families."

She added that when she began her career 28 years ago in the finance industry, she ultimately want to serve with a credit union that shares her dedication to its customers. After researching the industry, Castro discovered America's Credit Union and immediately identified with its mission.

"It aligned perfectly with my desire to assist fellow military families and the local community. Joining forces with ACU felt like a natural fit," Castro explained.

Which means she has a pretty good idea as to what to do during one's financial spring cleaning.

"Regularly reviewing your finances in crucial," she said, "and this is especially so amidst our busy lives.

Castro suggests the following:

"At ACU, our staff is highly skilled in assisting our members with saving and planning strategies," Castro added. "Working closely with our members, we provide tailored recommendations and options to help them achieve their financial goals."
