Beginning May 20, Capital Mall in Olympia's West Side will display its annual Military Appreciation Exhibit honoring community members who have served in the U.S. military, or are currently serving. This will be the first annual such exhibit according to Capital Mall marketing director Christina Eudy.

"Capital Mall is requesting photos of community members and their family, friends and loved ones who have served or who are currently serving in the U.S. military," Eudy says. "Photos can be dropped off at the mall management office where they will be framed for display, along with the person's rank, branch of the military and dates served. The photos will then be used to create a gallery display in Macy's Court.

"We're so pleased to be able to host the first annual Military Appreciation Exhibit at Capital Mall," said general manager Kevin Johnston. "Honoring those who have served our country, or are currently serving, is a small way to thank and convey our appreciation."

The exhibition will be on view from Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20, until Flag Day, Wednesday, June 14.

Photos can be dropped off or emailed to Eudy at ceudy@starwoodretail.com. Be sure to include the name of the person, military branch and dates of service. The deadline to submit photos is May 17.

Capital Mall is located at 625 Black Lake Blvd. in Olympia. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday.
