The Old Milwaukee is just about the cutest breakfast place around these parts, with Pat and Chad being the nicest restaurant owners in town.

Old Milwaukee Café serves up big plates of grated hash browns, fluffy pancakes, waffles and French toast bathed in fruits and whip cream, seemingly bottomless bowls of oatmeal with raisins, brown sugar and cream. Even breakfast sandwiches require two hands or knife and fork. Big ol' omelets ooze cheese and juices from ham, peppers and tomatoes stuffed inside. Nice. Nothing costs more than $10. Double Nice.

Old Milwaukee is my favorite place to get breakfast in Tacoma. They have a great old-time railroad diner vibe, wonderful comfort-food dishes - everything from inventive scrambles to french toast and waffles with seasonal fruit and tons of whipped cream - and very friendly owners/staff who are active in causes like the Breast Cancer Three Day. This is the kind of awesome local business that I love to support. Five Stars!

I'll be happy to throw my hat into the Old Milwaukee-loving ring. Patti & Chad have been serving me delicious breakfasts since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. They have the best S.O.S. that I've ever had, and I should add that the only reason I know what S.O.S. actually stands for (ask your parents) is because of this restaurant.

Thanks Patti; thanks Chad. Here's to serving S.O.S. deep into your old age.
