WINE TASTING: The guys behind 21 Cellars, the Tacoma winery that produces Pont 21 Cabernet will drop by Amocat Café (625 St. Helens Ave., Tacoma) from 5-6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17. It's rumored that they'll bring a sampling of some yet-to-be bottled wine. Also, kick back with the sounds of guitarist Andrew Sherbrooke, vocalist Julia Meyering with Victor Prinsen on sax.

CHRISTMAS TEA: Affairs Chocolates & Desserts (2811 Bridgeport Way W., University Place) will serve tea, pastries, finger sandwiches and desserts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19. The cost is $18 per person. Reserve your spot at 253.565.8604.

REINDEER GAMES: Alaskan Brewing Co. will host the Reindeer Games at the Varsity Grill (1114 Broadway, Tacoma) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21. Games will include pigskin toss, reindeer races, and ladder golf. Prizes include Seahawks tickets, Varsity Grill gift cards, beer swag or even a chance to win a trip to Valdez, Alaska to hang with pro snowboarders. REMINDER: Powerhouse Restaurant & Brewery (454 East Main, Puyallup) brews 35 fresh ales in house, including December’s Winter Warmer and Brass Monk. A membership to their bottled beer club would make a great holiday gift.

OPENING SOON: Seasonal Delights Café & Espresso Co. is scheduled to open in early January inside the Freighthouse Square by the Tacoma Dome.

NEW WINES: The Rosewood Café (3323 N. 26th St., Tacoma) has a new wine list heavily focused on smaller, craft-minded local producers.

253 TUESDAYS: Harmon Tap Room ‎(204 Saint Helens Ave., Tacoma) will serve $2 pints of Rainier, $5 pitchers of Rainier and $3 pizza slices every Tuesday beginning at 8:30 p.m.

TIGHTWAD TUESDAY: Every Tuesday Hell's Kitchen serves $2 tacos, $2 wells and $2 beers. Get on it at 928 Pacific Ave. in Tacoma.

666 NIGHT: The Swiss (1904 S. Jefferson, Tacoma) offers six wings and six beers from 4 p.m. to close every Wednesday. The wings come in three levels of heat.

HOLIDAY DINNER: Babblin' Babs Bistro (2724 N. Proctor, Tacoma) hosts a Christmas Eve will serve a gourmet dinner featuring bistro style duck breast, lamb ragu with pumpkin gnocchi, bourbon walnut tart and much more from 4-7 p.m. The cost is $55 per person. Reserve your spot at 253.761.9099.

OFF THE VINE: El Gaucho Tacoma (2119 Pacific Ave., Tacoma) hosts a wine tasting and retail event from 4-6 p.m. Jan. 7 and 21 for $10 a person. Reservations not required.
