John Timothy Close is the new director of Tacoma's Museum of Glass, starting May 15.
Close previously was director of Idaho's Boise Art Museum and Georgia's Albany Museum of Art, serving at both museums for six years. An artist himself, he received a bachelor of fine arts from Arizona State University and a master of fine arts from the California Institute of the Arts. - Suzy Stump
