A picture is worth a thousand words. Which is why every self-respecting writer bears a passionate, soul-crushing hatred for photographers. Stupid, freakin’, technological, arrr ... arrr. ... But then this begs a question: What does a photograph do for music? How much of the musical experience can be translated from sound into sight, Mr. High and Mighty Photographer? Oh, ummm, photographer/musician Richard Duval's "A Tough of Jazz" exhibit, you say? Featuring photos of jazz musicians with color highlight touches? Ah, man.
