Blabbermouth reports: To celebrate their pending tenth anniversary on July 1, 2006, AVRev.com has compiled its list of the Top 100 Rock Bands of All Time. Unlike past lists that are based on mere opinion, the AVRev.com "Top Rock Bands" list uses the same type of analytical tools employed by sports franchises and applies them to rock bands to objectively determine which bands are the best. Among the categories considered were: U.S. Sales (100 points), Songs/Songwriting (100), Technical Ability (100), Live Performance (50), Consistency vs. Longevity (50) and Random (50). Random is a category that allows a judge to vote on how likely he or she is to want to hear a band's songs on their iPod playlist.
