• As if Dale Chihuly’s homecoming Aug. 8 to 13 wasn’t enough, Tacoma’s bustling art community is about to be further enriched:

1. Tacoma will soon gain an art supply store downtown, an amenity that many have requested, near the Convention Center.
2. The Modern Villa Gallery recently opened at 1703 C Dock St. For more information, go to their Web site.
3. The Sixth Avenue Art Gallery will make its debut from 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at 2610-B Sixth Ave.
