Deck The Hall Ball 2006

By weeklyvolcano on October 31, 2006

Each holiday season, wherever Bobble Tiki goes â€" the office, the mall, his own hut â€" there’s always some cheer-drunk yutz with a cheap boombox and a stack of torturous Christmas CDs. John Denver's A John Denver Christmas. Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s Once Upon A Christmas. Or that god-awful Barbra Streisand thing. And that hideous Forgotten Carols record. They all have that slick, feel-good warmth, the kind that doesn’t soothe so much as it causes your spine to shimmy in terror/discomfort. Bobble Tiki's refuses to even link the albums.

Bobble Tiki's favorite holiday music goes on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.  The 15th annual non-denominational 107.7 The End's Deck The Hall Ball 2006 will be held again on a Thursday, Dec. 7, at KeyArena.  Gnarls Barkley, Snow Patrol, My Chemical Romance, The Shins, Jet, Taking Back Sunday, Pete Yorn and Angels and Airwaves will fill Bobble Tiki's head with holiday cheer, as well as the  monster eggnog made with lighter fluid he'll be swigging from his coat pocket.

Tickets are $37.50 plus whatever Ticketmaster adds on. â€" Bobble Tiki
