Some thoughts on beer

By weeklyvolcano on October 16, 2007

When it comes right down to it, few things in this world can top a freshly poured, frosty barley pop. We’re referring to beer, of course, and it’s way more than a delicious sexual stimulant/memory eraser . . . beautiful beer is an art form unto itself. In keeping with its tradition of promoting awareness and appreciation of this heavenly beverage, the Weekly Volcano reminds you of three precious events:

All of Georgetown's beers will be on tap (Manny's Pale Ale, Roger's Pilsner, and Chopper's Red) at The Red Hot Wednesday, Oct. 17, 6-9 p.m. for $3 a pint. Free Georgetown schwag and hot dog madness will ensue, too.

Tacoma Beer Society gathers for bagpipes, beer and debauchery Saturday, Oct. 20, 8 p.m., at Paddy Coyne’s.

The Parkway Tavern celebrates Jubelpalooza Wednesday, Oct. 24, 6-9 p.m.  Deschutes Brewery’s Jubelale 2006 and 2007, nitro 2006 and cask 2006 in the house. â€" Brad Allen
