RON SWARNER: TACOMA ARTIST MAKES OWN HIS TROPHY >>>

As one of the prizes for the May 30 Frost Park Chalk Off the winner would receive the opportunity to create his own glass trophy during the Hilltop Artists in Residence Open House, which was yesterday at Jason Lee middle School.

Lance Kagey won said Chalk Off.  He drew an amazing multi-panel Pinocchio, with long pencil nose, which terminated around the corner with the words "RR Anderson is The Best Illustrator in the Universe." 

Last night Tacoma Mama snapped a shot of Kagey working on his hand-blown glass trophy during the Open House.
