SUZY STUMP: EL GAUCHO RULES >>>

El Gaucho restaurants will turn the clock back beginning Aug. 1 to 1953. For 55 nights, as many years as El Gaucho has been serving outstanding steaks, one table a night will receive a bill reflecting prices as they were in 1953 â€" sirloin $4, prime rib $3.75, broiled lobster $3.50 for example. I have seen this menu, as my publisher was surprised four years ago as the table of the night. His $300 bill arrived reduced to $15.

The lucky table will also receive an inscription in the restaurant's Memory Book and a copy of El Gaucho's original menu.

So, I’m popping in to El Gaucho a couple of times in August, dressed to the nines, hoping I’m the lucky girl.
