The cadre of cops blocking off parts of Market Street last night had nothing to do with a shooting, robbery or Robert the Traveler Hill sighting. According to one Tacoma Police officer, working for hire, they had shut down a stretch to film a car commercial. He had signed a contract stipulating silence, and wasn't down with pictures, but said Tacoma would appear in a major car commercial within three weeks. God I hope it's not for the new Toyota Tacoma. Because that would be the stupidest idea ever.
