MATT DRISCOLL: THIS SHIT ROCKS >>>

Hersheysquirts The Hershey Squirts are playing the Viaduct tonight.

Huh. Huh. Huh. Huh. I said Hershey Squirts.

As endearingly adolescent as their name implies, The Hershey Squirts are a rough-around-the-edges band of pierced and tattooed punks set to take Tacoma by storm â€" one poop joke at a time. Having recently moved to the City of Destiny from Kansas, and perpetrating a brand of slurred, old school, fast as hell, three-chord punk that’s perfect for Tacoma, The Hershey Squirts have only been picking up steam. The band’s show at the Viaduct should only add to the growing legend of the squirt.

In case poop references are not quite enough to do it for you, Tonight’s show at the Viaduct also features The Zombats â€" a punk rock horror band that’s made a name for itself thanks, at least in part, to energetic shows at Club Impact. A mix of classic punk and a little Herman Munster, The Zombats are as much of a spectacle as they are a listening experience. Both aspects of the band will be on display Friday, and both should be enjoyed by the Viaduct’s all-ages crowd.
The Hershey Squirts and The Zombats â€" a combo made in heaven with a sound fit for hell. If you’re a punk loving youth looking for something to do this weekend, consider your search over.
