Pour At Four wine bar in the Proctor District strives to stay focused. Every month they pick a wine varietal and then go nuts with it. This month it’s all about Malbec.

Popped in last week and buckled up for their Malbec flight: Seven Hills 2006 Walla Walla Malbec, Bodegas Noemia 2007 A. Lisa Malbec and Kestrel Vintners 2005 Winemakers Malbec. Skip the two Washington wines and head straight for Patagonia. The Bodegas blew the other two away with its fruity taste and sweet vanilla.

BONUS: Pour At Four’s annual Mollydooker tasting is Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Quality is up, but quantities are down, so jump on it.
