JAKE DE PAUL: WALLA WALLA WINE WINE >>>

First things first: I love attending wine dinners almost as much as I can’t stand attending wine dinners. Wine dinners are A. educational; B. a good place for like-minded fellowship; C. tedious; D. bargains; or E. all of the above. Well, if the wine dinners I’ve attended over the years are any indication â€" and I’m sure I’ve attended well over 43 â€" the correct answer is E. Wine dinners, more often than not are informative and boring, good values and a great place to meet other food and wine enthusiasts like you.

Want to try one?

Salty’s at Redondo will serve a six-course Waterbrook Winery dinner Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. Ahi crostini, baked brie, crab bisque, filet mignon â€" the menu looks tasty.  And Waterbrook has lined up six wines for the night.

Attendees will receive a ticket for a free tasting at Waterbrook’s tasting room, First and Main in downtown Walla Walla. Hang on to that gem in case you find yourself in downtown Walla Walla.

The dinner is a whopping $90 per person.
