RON SWARNER: GOOD TIMES >>>
Last Night the Weekly Volcano dropped by the new Den music venue inside urbanXchange. It was too packed to see the scattered bits of furniture, but we did enjoy the bottomless, trembling baritone of Calvin Johnson (known for his part in the band Beat Happening, as founder of the label K Records and as leading man in Dub Narcotic Sound System) and the messy variety of noise and effects that is Mt. Eerie.
After a quick beer at The Harmon, we joined the masses at Seafarer's Sports Bar & Grill for the punk rock assault of C.F.A. and the Broken Oars. The back room was alive and deafening.
The night ended with karaoke dancing at the West End Pub & Grill.
