Holy shit this will be a good show. No joke. As far as indie rock wet dreams go, the four bands (musicians) set to play the newest (and coolest) all-ages venue in Tacoma â€" the Den at urbanXchange â€" are enough to induce an awful lot of stickiness. Forgive the graphic nature of my gushing, but Phil Elverum’s Mount Eerie, Calvin Johnson’s monotone croon, Karl Blau’s folksy exploration and the melodic thrashing of Kusikia (even though they moved to Portland from Tacoma) are more than enough to make blood surge to certain parts of my nether region.
