TONY ENGELHART: 2 LEGIT TO QUIT >>>

Delhi 2 Dublin A bit like Deep Forest minus the pigmies, Delhi 2 Dublin mixes an array of genres to create their unique sound. Included in their repertoire are dub, house, reggae, East India, and of course, Celtic. The five members play with obscure instruments like tabla, dhol, and electric sitar, but also include fiddle and guitar. Mixing organic sounds with synthetic beats, the Vancouver, B.C., quintet are slightly danceable and definitely trance-able. Their self-titled 2007 debut has garnered positive press, and the word of mouth about D2D has put them at the forefront of the world music scene. The disc was remixed by the band members in 2008 and involves more bass in your face and extra high octane energy.

Tonight, Delhi 2 Dublin will play Malarkey's in Tacoma.
