My focus was on my phone more than the topics at hand this morning at the Go Local meeting. Twitter was pouring love toward the Black Water Café, which unofficially opened today. The coffee, the friendly company, the hipness â€" I needed my fix.

My plan to work from its new location didn’t pan out. The wi-fi isn’t hooked up. Neither is the espresso machine, the food, the artwork or the stained glass.  In a long, narrow space next to Club Silverstone on St. Helens Black Water is running on drip only through the weekend. And that might be hit or miss, too. Handy Randy installed the counter but work still needs to be completed for its officially opening Monday morning. Owner Rachel Moreshead, operating on little sleep, has her mind on her space rather than your coffee fix. She’ll sell you a cup of drip today, tomorrow and Sunday, but don’t count on her full attention.

I suggest waiting until Monday when you can her full attention.
