Lakewood Playhouse hosted a one-night only evening of radio, tasty finger foods, and fine wines last night as a way to celebrate the Golden Age of Radio with adaptations of the radio plays The Maltese Falcon and Casablanca.

The one-time event was part of the Lakewood Playhouse’s 70th Anniversary celebration.

Lakewood Playhouse Production Manager James Venturini not only directed the show but played the role of the hard-boiled detective in the Maltese show. He nailed it.

Lakewood Players produce worthy radio stage shows. The next radio show will be Bram Stoker's Dracula for Halloween. Plan for it now.
