Steilacoom Farmers Market opens today from 3-7 p.m. at the intersection of Lafayette and Wilkes. It runs every Wednesday through Aug. 19.

Minoela is now open serving $10 pizzas, $8-$9 sandwiches including a ham & brie on ciabatta, salads and four appetizers at 604 Fawcett Ave. next to The Grand Cinema.

"We had a packed house from the time we cracked the door at 4 p.m. till about 11," explained owner Danielle Kartes. "This week we are open from 4-9 p.m. to get our feet wet then our regular biz hours will commence on the 30th."
