MICHAEL SWAN: TACOMA FOOD CO-OP TEAMS UP WITH THE GRAND CINEMA FOR FOOD, INC. >>>

Food-Inc "If you knew what you were eating, you might not want to eat."

That sums up both the message of Robert Kenner's documentary about the food industry and your likely reaction to it. Food, Inc. â€" a 90-minute ride through what we eat and how it's produced â€" will open at The Grand Cinema Friday, Aug. 14

The above quote could have come from any of the 400-plus members of the Tacoma Food Co-Op, an organization striving to make affordable, high-quality, mostly locally-produced and organic food available in Tacoma.

If the Tacoma Food Co-op’s mission strikes a nerve with you, consider catching the film at The Grand. A dollar from every Food, Inc. ticket will go directly to the co-op. You must tell The Grand that you want to donate when purchasing the ticket.

Support your local community while learning about the impact the government has on your dinner table.
