Twink the Wonder Kid set for "soft return" Friday at The New Frontier in Tacoma

CH-CH-CH-CHANGES >>>

Despite the fact Dignitaries drummer Lino Fernandez was recently involved in a scooter vs. automobile accident (with Lino, naturally, on the scooter), and surgeries and pain medication have followed, I just received word from Lino's brother, Reylan, that the band is still planning to take the stage this Friday at The New Frontier - for as long as Lino (a true gamer) can hold up. And why would they not? With a lineup that includes the ultimate "Hard Soul" of Bellingham's The DTs (a creation of Estrus Records head-honcho and Mono Men stalwart Dave Crider), along with what Dick Rossetti is calling the "soft return" of his band Twink the Wonder Kid, Friday night's show at The New Frontier will be one of the coming weekend's high points.

Coincidentally, Twink the Wonder Kid and the Dignitaries will both be back Aug. 21 for Music and Art in Wright Park. Reylan Fernandez tells the Volcano that if his brother's injuries wont allow him to play the show, Umber Sleeping's Peter Tietjen will be filling in.
