While preparing for my weekly disappoint where I attempt to find a wine bar in the South Sound open on a Sunday afternoon, I flipped through this month's Wine Spectator. And lo and behold, their "Best Restaurants For Wine Lovers" cover story includes a couple from the South Sound: Cicada Restaurant & Lounge (700 Fourth Ave. E) and Waterstreet Café & Bar (610 Water St. SW) in Olympia, and The Melting Pot (212 Pacific Ave.) in downtown Tacoma.

Three out of the 3,743 restaurants listed isn't bad.
