Amber Valentine of Jucifer is ready to rock you tonight.
THURSDAY, AUG. 12, 2010 >>>
1. Sleeper Cell and Mahnhammer will burst your eardrums beginning at 9 p.m. inside Hell's Kitchen. Jucifer will close the night and, most likely, your coffin lid.
2. Nineteen acclaimed Korean artists reexamine their identity in the context of the American landscape in Calm Spirit, a new exhibition opening today at the Handforth Gallery in downtown Tacoma's Main Library. Check out this exhibition - organized by the Korean American Artists Association of Washington in celebration of their 20th anniversary, and curated by Jung Ho Kim from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
3. The Fun Police Southern Skies will patrol and rock and roll the Tacoma Farmers Market on Broadway beginning at 10:30 a.m.
4. Cropsey - a documentary examining the concept of the bogeyman - screens at 6:30 p.m. at the Capitol Theater in Olympia. Read our review of the flick here - if you're not too scared.
5. The Tacoma Runners, er, running group will meet at 6:30 p.m. in front of the SideBar Bistro, head out for a 3-mile jaunt, then celebrating their achievement with a bunch of booze back at the SideBar. This group has grown into something very cool.

The Fun Police are currently touring the West Coast, and are in Anaheim this evening. Unfortunately they are not playing the Broadway Farmer's Market today, as they are out of town.
