Harvest Moon Dinner

By Ron Swarner on November 17, 2010

THE MOON IS UP. IT'S GETTING LATE. GET READY TO CELEBRATE >>>

It's easy to say "eat local, buy local" but let's be honest, how often does that actually happen? If you've been lacking in the endeavor, one delicious opportunity is right around the corner with the Mandolin Café's Harvest Moon Dinner.

Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say
Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away.

The Tacoma neighborhood hangout will present a three-course "slow food" organic dinner this Friday beginning at 5 p.m.

But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancin' in the light
We know where the music's playin'
Let's go out and feel the night.

The three courses are:

When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart.

Adding to the festivities will be a freshly, pressed apple cider and live bluegrass music.

But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin' in your eye.

The cost is $20 per person. Act quick if you want to reserve a spot by stopping by the Mandolin or calling 253.761.3482.

Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon.
