Well, as Taqwacore: The Birth of Punk Islam - a film by written and directed by Omar Majeed - shows us, it does get messy, but anything is possible. Based on a book of the same name, written by Michael Muhammad Knight and now taught in some universities as a "Catcher in the Rye for young Muslims," - Taqwacore: The Birth of Punk Islam screens tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Capitol Theater.
