WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 14 >>>

1. Jazz pianist Ariel Elisha performs improv on Jewish and Arabic themes, some neojazz and a few originals as a benefit for "Jerusalem Peacemakers" at 7 p.m. inside Traditions Cafe and World Folk Art in downtown Olympia.

2. There's a kids tractor pull from 1-6 p.m. in the Green Gate Area at the Puyallup Fair. Seriously.

3. Harmon Brewery and Eatery's Trivia Night hosted by Gordon Adams begins at 6 p.m.

4. Folksinger Hank Cramer will fill A Rhapsody In Bloom's courtyard with his booming bass voice and vintage flat-top guitar beginning at 7 p.m.

5. At 9 p.m., under the increasingly-cool "Wednesday Sessions" header, Jazzbones will welcome back the Big Friction Jam for an evening that's sure to blow your usual Hump Day plans out of the proverbial water. Expect a cast of talented locals laying down the funk and groove and magic
