Great hip hop this weekend

By Josh Rizeberg on August 24, 2012

There's a lot of cool-shit going-on this weekend. With all that in mind, tonight at California Club will definitely be the place to be. If "Town Binnis" is what you're into - then don't miss Lebowski's return home show. It's been two years since Lebowski had a show in his hometown. He's been steady grinding in Chicago & the Midwest, touring and recording with Tech N9Ne. The bill is a who's who of Tacoma Hip-Hop. Ya'll can catch short-sets from Kept See, Chris Crayzie, Yak Nasty, Motamouth Jones, Second Family, Leezy Soprano, and Doughkain, Cool Beanz and Rize. Of course Lebowski will be headlining. Tickets are $15 presale/ $20 door, call 253 606-4099 to get. Doors open at 9 and with a line-up that big I'm pretty sure it'll start on time.

If ya don't have enough spine to go to California Club - go see Lil Ripp and Sky Pilot at The Live Room tonight in Sumner. Or catch Everlast, formerly of House of Pain, performing an all-acoustic set at Jazz Bones on Saturday. Local M.C. Mike Drastic opens that show up.
