This just in from Joint Base Lewis-McChord Public Affairs office:

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. - JBLM commander, Col. H. Charles Hodges, Jr., will accept a $20 thousand donation on behalf of Joint Base Lewis-McChord from the NFL and USAA Million Fan Salute at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Hillside Teen Center on JLBM Lewis Main.

The donation is a result of joint effort between USAA and the NFL Salute to Service campaign in which NFL fans offered a salute to the military on behalf of their favorite NFL team through on-line voting.

NFL cities with the most salutes - Seattle being one of several - earned rewards for a nearby military installation.

The donation will be put to good use on Joint Base Lewis-McChord by the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation.

This was the third year USAA was represented as the Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the NFL. USAA and the NFL work together throughout the NFL season to honor and thank the military, and encourage fans to do the same.
