It's almost astonishing how unfunny this movie is, given the talents of stars Ed Helms, playing a bumbling cop, and Taraji P. Henson, as the single mom he's dating. Her 12-year-old son and the adult characters hurl insults and comebacks that grow more explicit and ever more off-putting. - One and a half stars
