WEEKLY VOLCANO:  Who are you and what do you do?

RENEE ALLWINE: Most know me as Hit-O-Honey from Tacoma's original flat track roller derby league, the Dockyard Derby Dames. I make broken bones and roller rink floor burns look like the sexiest accessories you've ever seen.

VOLCANO:  Biggest turn-ons?

ALLWINE: Seamed hosiery that says, "I'm a lady," with bruises peeking through that say, "But that doesn't mean I won't kick your ass."

VOLCANO:  Biggest turn-offs?

ALLWINE:  Communities that aren't skater friendly. They have sidewalks spray painted with roller skates and skateboards with a giant X across them like a scarlet letter.

VOLCANO:  How do you explain your victory in the 2011 Weekly Volcano Sexy Issue? Obviously you're doing something right. ...

ALLWINE: It was bound to happen. People tend to take notice when your attire consists of torn fishnets and underwear worn as outerwear. Then again, there is a woman who wanders Hilltop wearing the same thing. But I don't know that she can be considered an athlete in her line of work.

VOLCANO:  Is it ever difficult being so hot?

ALLWINE: Not at all. Being hot comes with the territory. It gets pretty sweaty skating 20 laps in two minutes wearing a helmet and all those pads.

VOLCANO:  What's your favorite thing about where you live and work? What makes it sexy?

ALLWINE: The thing I love about Tacoma is that I can act a fool (albeit a sexy fool) on Sixth Avenue at night and Tacoma will still love me in the morning. But believe it or not, I can't make Tacoma sexy all on my own. There are 79 other gorgeous, inspiring, dedicated, badass, professional, fun loving, smart, sexy as hell dames on skates out there making this city look good.
