I know this is hard to believe, but I have another solid mixtape to report on this week. The crazy thing is: the next two weeks will be just as heavy.

So, without further delay I present to ya'll Gazmo the Great's iBeast. This is a pretty high-caliber mixtape. Notable guest verses come from Andy Milonakis (yeah, that one), HighFii Kiddo (Cali) and Joe Moses (LA), with notable production coming from 18th Letter and T-Huztle (both out of Memphis), Kid Gaff and J-Listed (Out of L.A.).

What all of this shows me is Gazmo has a national grind right now. Granted, he may not be one of best-known 253 artists, but Gazmo looks to be getting a little more national shine than some of us. When I asked him to speak to the people, Gazmo says, "If ya want it, work for it, don't wait for it. Power to the people."

You can get Gazmo's newest project at datpiff.com under Gazmo.

I also want to give props to Tak Patron for tearing it up this last month. He's def' stepped his hustle-game up. Tak Patron has been part of too many big events recently to even list. Basically, if you see a bill with Tak Patron on it, go and learn.

Also huge ups go out to the people behind the Puget Sound Compilation Vol. 2 show. A R Mastamind, El Perron, Golden Brown Entertainment and all the other moderators for the project are doing this scene a service. Congratulations, ya'll!

Did ya'll see the "Proud 2 Be" vid' dropped a few weeks back by Logics? I say it's one of his best. You can find it by entering that title into YouTube. Logics has been radioactive so far this first term of '11. I salute!

Another real good vid' that just dropped comes courtesy of Rockwell Powers and Ill Pill. "Welcome Back" is the title, and the video is directed by Michael Pierce of 253hiphop.com. There are some frankly beautiful shots of downtown Tacoma (Rockwell's neighborhood). Seeing our city in such a quality video brings extra beauty to the grit we don't always see without the lens of an artist. Good work, my fellas.
