It's officially fall and the summer is over. A new season and new music await us. One of the hottest artists this past summer was Leezy Soprano. It looks like fall will be no different. He's hitting it hard with two new videos in September alone! Go to YouTube and put in Leezy Soprano to watch "Ain't Feelin Em" and "Bout to Blow." "Bout to Blow" is even being featured on Wordstarhiphop.com right now. After checking these videos you'll see why many people think Leezy is currently the best in the Tac'.

2011 has been a huge year for 253 hip-hop. One of the busiest artists this year has been Todd Sykes. He's dropped three albums! That's major grind. Sykes' latest is Out of the Blue - a fuller hip-hop album than his previous two releases. (His first two were mostly hip-hop/jazzy/soul instrumental delights.) This current album is full of Sykes rhyming over his own beats. I guess it's his first full release with vocals, but it's not much different than his first two albums. Todd has a vibe and its classic smooth hip-hop. His voice has the same effect as his beats: mellow and easy. Sykes' topics are also safe, basic and cool. If you're a hip-hop purist you're going to dig Todd Sykes. Go treat yourself to his whole catalogue, free at wearecityhall.com.

Tha Deacon over at slackskidsnbeats.com just released his directorial debut. It's a video for John Crown called "Shoot for the Stars" (below). The video is an honest portrayal of Crown in his neighborhood, going through an everyday man situation - running out of gas. It's got a homey-neighborhood feel to it. After watching the video you'll feel like ya know a little bit about John Crown the person. I look forward to seeing more videos from Tha Deacon.

Finally, a veteran of 253 hip-hop that ya'll should know about is Knucklehead Banga. He's got some free tracks to listen to on www.reverbnation.com/knucklheadbanga. Knucklhead's been doing it for more than a decade. He's thick in the Tac' and Federal Way.
