So many new awesome faces to our scene, one artist that I'm excited about is MC Coo Beanz. He just dropped a new video for his song "Trying to Make a Dollar" - YouTube it. His video production moniker is AutoGoon, and he's been killing it with the videos this year. "Trying to Make a Dollar" has the same jazzed-out fonky-ass basic-loop beat structure Beanz has mastered. The video has the artist and his brother taking their throwback avant-garde hip-hop to Portland. Just watching the video takes one to another state mentally - the song is so moody and the video is an eye-trip. The song is definitely not your average rap hustling-to-make-a-dollar song. It more gives one the feeling of what it actually feels like to be broke, smoking on your last bit of green, trying to figure out where ya going to get yo next buck. After watching that video, watch all the episodes of NTV, a local Hip-Hop radio interview session Beanz puts on his YouTube channel. #beanzandrize

There's another 24/7/365 Northwest hip-hop Internet radio station ya'll need to get hip to. It's run by none other than General Wojack. After reading this go to myseattlenightout.com/radio/seattle_hip_hop and listen away. He's currently looking to add more local hip-hop to the site, so upload your songs or contact Wo' on Twitter (@wojack2) to give him yo music.

There are now a handful of internet radio-stations that play nothing but Northwest hip-hop. Put them in your bookmarks and go back and forth all day, inundating yo mind with nothing but your community's music.

Another new artist making moves on the scene this year is Sky Pilot, whose real name is Preston McDonald. Sky Pilot has some notable production work, making a recent track for the Gonzo Family. Pilot is brand-spanking-new and still has some kinks to work-out as far as his music and live shows go - right now he's getting by on networking and energy. His beats can be real dope, though. Check out the kid's debut-album at soundcloud.com/skypilotmusic. Next week we'll tackle DJ Quietstorm, Mister Zelle, and more Lil Ripp.
