It looks like Friday is the night to see the best in 253 Hip-Hop. The Prince of the 509, Shao Sosa, is having a Birthday Show at Stonegate Pizza. The show is sponsored by Razor Tongue Radio and it's a who's who of local underground Hip-Hop with a few heavy-hitters thrown in there. The show starts at 9pm, 21 +, and is only $5. Eat pizza, drink, and get to know a lot of artists and their music. Hit-up South Tacoma Way, I'll be there. Shao's a great-Dood. He's one of the strongest supporters of 253 Hip-Hop around. He deserves some love on his Birthday Bash. On the bill is Killaz With Kindness, a Tacoma-duo who have been making music since the 90's. They have no internet presence, so if ya want to hear their party-rocking, future-like, Boom-Bap - ya have to come to the show.
Safe travels to the King of Federal Way, Q-Dot, and his partner Fame Rilla, who are heading North on Friday to Everett; they're part of the Declaration of Dopeness tour. The stop in Everett is at Hayley's Bar and Grill, which is the main Hip-Hop venue in Everett as far as I can tell.
