When this Saturday rolls around, Tacoma's Antique District will be inundated with classic cars galore. That's right. The Rebel Riot is coming!

But before the riot begins, there must be a heralding event of proper proportions to hail in said riot. Enter the Rebel Riot Friday Night Showcase. On Aug. 2 from 8 p.m. until 12:30 a.m., the Friday Night Showcase will rock The Mansion on Broadway with live music and burlesque acts to make sure you're in the mood for a classic car show by Friday ... or else.

"This year's show will be held in the historic Mansion on Broadway that will be the perfect backdrop with two floors of live music and burlesque," said event founders and organizers Allison Lazar and Ryan Skinner. "We have a star-studded lineup including international alternative pinup model and burlesque dancer Mosh. She is also one of our guest judges for the Rebel Riot Pinup Contest on Saturday at the Rebel Riot Car Show."

Friday Night Showcase aims to pack more burlesque action into one building than perhaps ever been done before in T-Town. Other acts include The Shanghai Pearl, the tantalizing temptress from Taipei and Miss Kitty Baby, the action figure with curves, who is also the host of the Rebel Riot Pinup contest and founder of the Pinup Angels. Miss Kitty Baby will have a booth at the car show on Saturday to take donations to raise funds for care packages for troops overseas.

Who else not to miss?

"The girls who put the T and A in Tacoma - Dessi Devine and Rosie Cheex - Gritty City Sirens and Olympia's own Nani Poonani from TUSH! Burlesque will be performing with the fabulous Mae Zing in the ballroom on Friday night," Lazar and Skinner said.

The Friday Night Showcase will also serve up some awesome live music. Bands set to rock your night away are the Roy Kay Trio, Argentina Weeps, and The Echo Devils - all Seattle bands, all set to bring it.

The venue itself is pretty cool. The Mansion is 130 years old and still knows how to party. There will be two full bars, including one upstairs that has wrap-around views of the Puget Sound and Tacoma. Both bars will serve up signature Rebel Riot cocktails Cherry Lips and Grease Monkey.

Tickets are available from Eventbrite at therebelriot2013-efbevent.eventbrite.com ($15 in advance) or at the door for $20.

Party hard, but don't party so hard that you miss out on the Rebel Riot on Saturday. Rebel Riot shows off pre-1969 hotrods and custom cars along with Tacoma vendors, live music, a vintage swimsuit contest, a beer garden and more.
