With holidays just around the corner, and the gift-giving list getting longer, the Lincoln Winter Market organized by Make Olympia is just what the doctor ordered. Well that, and a hot buttered rum.

The market is in its third run, and has grown to more than 70 vendors. Shanty Slater, who has been heavily involved in Make Olympia (which hosts markets at a variety of locations) since its incarnation in 2010, said the Lincoln Winter Market is "a very special place to buy gifts and treasure from the community."

On Slater's advice, here is a list of seven must-see items at the Lincoln Winter Market at the Lincoln Elementary Gym. But take time to shop, as there will be plenty to see and do, and hot food by Tamale Fusion will be on site to keep you sustained.

Without further ado: The list.

1. P Calavara and his magical worlds will be at the market. "Olympia is lucky to have this hard-working, incredibly talented artist," Slater said. "You can get lost in his booth for hours if you're not careful."

Think illustrated books to posters and stuffed animals. He will be in the outdoor covered area. www.harmonyboom.com

2. Three Bad Seeds creates quirky wool and linen cushions that will no doubt turn into family heirlooms. "My kids fight over who gets to have the hedgehog pillow in their room," Slater said. Three Bad Seeds will be in the gym. www.threebadseeds.com.

3. Moonstone Designs will bring its handmade fleece animal hats. "There will surely be a crowd around her table, as these are all the rage," Slater said. www.moonstonedesigns.etsy.com

4. 4. Floating Feet Studios. "They are a team of two potter artists," Slater explained. "Their stamped coffee cups are divine." There will be three potters at this event, all in the cafeteria. www.floatingfeetstudios.com

5. Trnka creates luxurious upcycled one-of-a-kind clothing. "Her elf slippers are sweet and cozy, and everyone looks good in them," Slater said. Trnka will be outside.  www.etsy.com/shop/trnka.

6. "Wood Song Felts teaches you that a little needled felted creature can actually change your life," Slater said. "She does not sell them often, so do not miss the opportunity to come see these magical creatures - come early as they disappear fast."
