On Nov. 3, America's Credit Union (ACU) hosted the 23rd Annual Turkey Shoot Golf Tournament. It was a gratifying moment for the organizers who had put in months of preparation to make the event a huge success. The tournament saw over 120 golfers and sponsors who came out to support the service members of Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
The tournament was a day filled with fun and excitement. Participants arrived early at Eagle's Pride Golf Course, where they competed in a golf scramble format and participated in various activities, including Beat the Pro, Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Hole in One competitions. The event was an excellent opportunity for golfers of all skill sets to challenge themselves and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The tournament followed a scramble format where players competed in teams of four with the top teams receiving trophies and prizes.
Through the tournament, ACU raised nearly $40,000 to benefit the service members of JBLM. The funds will be used throughout 2024 to support the service members and their families who call the South Puget Sound home. ACU is proud to support and honor the service of the brave military families who sacrificed so much for our country.
The success of the Turkey Shoot was a result of the dedication and support of the volunteers and sponsors. ACU recognizes and thanks all who provided essential contributions to the event. Every sponsor and volunteer made a significant difference in ensuring the success of this tournament. ACU is grateful to the community for their support, and it is committed to providing the necessary resources for the brave men and women serving our country.
