SHUT IT! is inspired by Christopher Frizzelle's Silent Reading Parties in Seattle. Frizelle, the editor-in-chief of The Stranger, hosts the event in the Fireside Room of the Sorrento Hotel. Tacoma's version, on the other hand, will be at the Java Jive. Ha ha ... just kidding! It actually takes place in the lobby of the swanky Murano Hotel. The online Tacoma magazine Post Defiance presents the event.
