It's a new week, which means it's time for a new installment of Bobble Tiki's South Sound music news and notes column. Without further ado, let's get rolling.

For at least the last two weeks, Bobble Tiki has spent the bulk of his column ranting and raving about the Weekly Volcano's new Web site - weeklyvolcano.com. Bobble Tiki has told you about the kick-ass band profiles, the interactive bells and whistles, and the naked pictures of Ranger Charlie from the Ranger Charlie and Roscoe show (because, after all, what's an Internet site without naked pictures?).

Well, this week Bobble Tiki is going to attempt to move on. He still loves weeklyvolcano.com more than most things in life, aside from Mrs. Tiki, boxed wine and MacGyver, but at this point Bobble Tiki assumes you've either already checked out the site, are already sick of hearing about it, or are, like, 87 - and think the "Internet" is something they use to keep dolphins out of the discount cat food you dine on.

Anyway, there's a lot going on this week in T-Town music, and Bobble Tiki would like to send serious props to urbanXchange (and thus, the Den @ urbanXchange), where on Saturday those crazy hipsters in charge will celebrate the launch of a new fashion blog, with music from Nightfox and Ben Paris in addition to all sorts of other goodness. The blog - and all recent action relating to it - seems to be the handy work of Julie Bennett, urbanXchange's fearless leader. According to the debut issue of "Plog," which hit streets in January - a physical (you know, like paper and ink) zine also produced by Bennett - not to be confused with the forthcoming blog, "The point of the blog is to focus on local artists and art of all forms and mediums - more specifically fashion because fashion is one of the best examples of post-medium art."

The urbanXchange blog kickoff party starts at 5 p.m., and more info can be found at urbanXchangeonline.com.
