One of Olympia's most beloved bartenders is celebrating 10 years of pouring stiffies at the Brotherhood Lounge. And he's celebrating old school style, with two epic Oly bands. (More on that in a minute.)

The bartender in question is Buck Huber, and he's one of a kind. Equally witty, charming and predictable, Huber is always ready with a drink, a smile and a Mohawk in varying stages of growth.

Huber's reliability is faultless. Take his dress, for example. Besides the occasional drag (i.e., Courtney Love for Halloween), Buck never strays from his work "uniform"  - a white-collared button-up shirt, Converse and a towel tucked neatly in his beltline.

And Huber always makes his shifts (Saturday, Sunday, Monday and  Wednesday). He's even referred to as by-the-book-Buck, because of his unwavering professionalism, no matter how hungover or stripper shell-shocked he might be.

But perhaps, in this writer's opinion, what makes Huber such an amazing human being and bartender is his magical powers - specifically the power to bring together two quintessential Olympia bands for one night only - a rock star reunion extravaganza.

OK, brace yourself, Olympia. ...

It's Chief! And Bacchus! Together!

Why these two bands?

"I couldn't afford the Melvins," jokes Huber.

"But really," he continues, "Bacchus is my favorite band and Chief used to play the Brotherhood all the time, so I wanted this anniversary to be a total throwback show."

And a throwback it will be. Neither band is technically together anymore. Bacchus hasn't played in over a year, and Chief hasn't rocked Oly in at least six.

Since I'm being Huber-biased anyway, I might as well disclose that Sean McCoy from Bacchus is my husband, and Jerry Zeigler from Chief is my ultimate hero.

But, bias aside, there is not a lick of what I'm about to say that isn't true.

Just ask Huber.

This will be the most incredible show you will experience. Ever.

Bacchus is one of few bands to actually hit the brown note. (You know, a rumble so deep in your gut, induced by stacks of amps and low-fi bass lines that you actually produce a shard in your pants.)

Chief is the revolutionary leader of any punk music to come out of Olympia. And they can still kick anyone's ass.

So do yourself a favor and get down to the BroHo. Give Buck a kiss, and rock out like it's 2001.
