The great Northwest has many cities that seem to be synonymous with music. From Bellingham to Eugene to Missoula, the entire region is dotted with indie record labels, budding bands, seasoned pros, legendary icons - not to mention studios, record stores, music shops and venues.

While this network of music junkies is unique and unfolds in its own way, one man strives to make the whole "have your people call my people" process easier and more accessible.

Meet Jeremy Noble and Musiciansnw.com, a website devoted to all things music in the region.

"I have always liked music and going to concerts," Noble said. "This combined with my entrepreneurial mind going 100 mph all the time, I thought it would be great to have a social site for musicians."

About three months ago, Noble and good friend Ryan McClelland hashed out a plan for a website specific to the Northwest's music needs. While Noble is the sole owner, he said, "McClelland's creative mind was a great help."

Noble gives a breakdown of the website's mission.

"MusiciansNW is a site for talented and professional musicians," he said. "This service is free for all members to post their bio, upload their music, pics, videos and create valuable, professional networks. We do not cater to one genre over another. In the end, all musicians want the same thing ... to be noticed! That is where MusiciansNW wants to help. When a MNW member posts an event, we help promote the upcoming event in any way we can. Regardless if you are a band, soloist, concert hall, local guitar shop or someone who just loves music, you are welcome."

Currently the website's main page boasts an upcoming show at The Backstage in Tacoma, featuring Mom's Rocket, High Noon Horizon and others. There is also information about the upcoming Catapult Fest in Anacortes, where 14 bands will play; there is a calendar, social network activity feed, and links to Members, For Hire, Blogs, Classifieds, Venues, Advertising and more.

Noble has designed the page to have every avenue of Northwest music at his users' fingertips.

"I have a vision of MusiciansNW to be the place the public goes to find an event or concert on any given night in any given town," Noble added. "I want MusiciansNW to be the place music venues go to find the band or musician they need."
