Olympia punker turned hip-hopper Doc Hollywood and his goofball/party rap group Hollywood Kill Krew broke onto the scene in 2009.  Since then, HKK and Hollywood have been busy playing shows and releasing multiple projects - and even earned themselves "best hip-hop group" in the Weekly Volcano's 2012 Best of Olympia.  Between solo and group efforts, Doc has released four hip-hop projects in the past two years.

He is now set to release another, his first, full-length solo mixtape - Delorean Music.  While using the time-traveling Delorean from the Back To The Future movie trilogy, as well as homemade synths and snares, Doc creates a futuristic soundtrack with a severe '80s flashback.

The future has never been better. The CD release party for Delorean Music will fill Olympia's Le Voyeur club Saturday, Nov. 3.

Doc began creating beats in 2009 after his punk band called it quits.  What began as a solo project quickly evolved into a rap crew of like-minded-musicians-turned-rappers inspired by a new genre.  In April 2011, Doc started his A-Beat-A-Day project where he produced a beat every day for an entire year, posting them to SoundCloud and releasing selected CD compilations.  In April of 2012 he completed the project and posted his 366th beat (It was a leap year).  In September 2011, he released an EP with fellow Olympia rapper Double B called Signature Series, which was conceptualized as five songs written in five days.  In October 2011, he released the Decline EP, five-punk inspired rap songs in less than 10 minutes.

Fiercely independent, but non-competitive, Doc is thrilled to collaborate with anyone who shares his passion for creating cool songs and making music unlike any other.  On Delorean Music, he features nine other Olympia area rappers - a few household names; others not.

The 13-track mixtape is solely produced, mixed and mastered by Doc.  With his inspiration gained from Michael J. Fox characters, Doc drops rhymes - and even samples - from films such Back To The Future, Doc Hollywood, Teen Wolf and even Fox's more obscure movies such as Bright Lights Big City

Undisguised, Hollywood's passions are apparent: do-it-yourself ethics, anti-capitalism and rebellious fun.
