The recipe for Pizza Casa's gravy is literally a closely guarded secret that not even all the chefs are privy to. Thick, heavy and musty, it's evident the sauce stews for long hours (if not days) before topping the thin al dente noodles that are also signature at this Ponders Corner icon in Lakewood. Served with bread sticks on a "cocktails of the world" placemat, this old-world recipe has graced the area for 50 years. It's one old timer that hasn't lost its step.
