A bartender at Hannah's Bar & Grille in Olympia, Brandi Goodrum, (yes, that's her real name) shows up to the interview with a latte in hand, sporting a big smile and a skull and butterfly T-shirt. It fits her personality.
WEEKLY VOLCANO: How long have you been bartending?
BRANDI GOODRUM: 11 ½ years.
VOLCANO: What's your favorite thing about bartending?
GOODRUM: The people - the different walks of life that makes Olympia what it is.
VOLCANO: What's the worst thing about bartending?
GOODRUM: When I have to cut somebody off and they call me names. And fights.
VOLCANO: What's your most memorable experience?
GOODRUM: Like bizarre? Well, one year during Lakefair this guy called the cops on me for taking his drink and not giving him a $3.75 refund. The cops basically laughed about it.
VOLCANO: What's your favorite drink?
GOODRUM: Strong Islands.
VOLCANO: Like Long Islands?
GOODRUM: Yeah, but stronger.
VOLCANO: What's the biggest tip you've ever gotten?
GOODRUM: $150.
VOLCANO: How about the strangest or coolest tip?
GOODRUM: Pot. I don't even smoke it and people still leave it. Oh, and the coolest is when people bring Pink Floyd stuff. I have a huge collection.
VOLCANO: If you had a personal bartending motto, what would it be?
GOODRUM: Piss me off and pay the consequences.

This is cool, Brandi. Hey everyone, that's my lovely granddaughter we're talking about, a very cool lady. Brandi, I didn't know about this interview until this evening when your Aunt Sherryl called and we were talking about your cousin David being featured on Volcano about Market Street Coffee in Tacoma and she told me that you had also been here on Volcano several months ago.
Love you
